      Nizhny Novgorod residents are invited to participate in the IX All-Russian competition for the best practices in the field of national relations. This is a large-scale initiative aimed at supporting projects that preserve the unique ethno-cultural diversity of our country and strengthen interethnic friendship. The competition is held with the support of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for interethnic relations and the Federal Nationalities Agency (FADN). The initiator is the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Resource Center in the Field of National Relations." The organizers are looking for the most effective practices for preserving national languages, cultures, and traditions: from small municipal initiatives to large federal programs. The main goal of the competition is not only to identify the best projects but also to help their authors replicate successful experiences across all regions of Russia.

      Competition nominations:

      — best projects of socially oriented NGOs and initiative groups in the field of harmonizing interethnic relations;

      — best projects of socially oriented NGOs and initiative groups aimed at preserving the national languages, cultures, and traditions of the peoples of the Russian Federation;

      — best practices of government bodies in the field of national relations;

      — best practices of budgetary institutions at municipal, regional, and federal levels, Houses of Friendship of Peoples, and Houses of Nationalities;

      — best practices of commercial organizations implementing projects in the field of national relations.

      Also, in partnership with the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Assembly of Peoples of the World," a nomination for "Best Practices in the Field of People's Diplomacy" has been announced since 2022. Individuals and organizations from all over the country can participate in the competition. The application period will last until October 20, 2026. The winners of the IX All-Russian competition for the best practices in the field of national relations will be invited to the VIII All-Russian Conference "Sustainable Development of the Ethnocultural Sector" in Moscow in 2027.
