Seven Nizhny Novgorod schools will not open on September 1 due to repairs.
July 30, 2026 16:38 Society Seven schools in the Nizhny Novgorod region will not be able to start the school year on September 1 due to ongoing major repairs. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the regional education ministry. The department clarified that all educational institutions where work is expected to be completed before the start of the school year are being prepared for opening on time. Acceptance and readiness checks for the schools are scheduled for August. However, in seven institutions, repairs will continue even after the beginning of autumn in accordance with the terms of the contracts. Until their completion, classes for students will be organized at other schools or in separate buildings. Thus, school No. 48 in Nizhny Novgorod will temporarily relocate to schools No. 11 named after G.S. Beresneva and No. 135. Students of school No. 123 will study in the second building of their institution. The educational process for school No. 93 will be organized at the sites of schools No. 172, No. 69, and No. 66. School No. 76 will operate based on schools No. 26 and No. 79 named after N.A. Zaitsev. In the Bolshomokrin secondary school of the Kstovo district, classes will take place in the building of the primary school. Students of school No. 1 in the Kstovo district will be directed to the Bolshoyelinsky school and school No. 9. In Pavlov, school No. 11 will temporarily relocate to school No. 10 during the repairs. It was previously reported that new schools named after Molev will open on September 1 in Dzerzhinsk and on Lunacharsky Street in the city of Bor.
