      In Gagino, the improvement of the Alley of Heroes has been completed. The work was carried out as part of the program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." The cost of the work amounted to about 6 million rubles. One of the main tasks during the work was to preserve the historical significance of the site. The square in front of the memorial to the soldiers who fought in Afghanistan and Chechnya has been resurfaced, pathways have been improved, benches and new streetlights have been installed. Thus, the Alley of Heroes has become a cozy place for quiet relaxation and for holding memorial events. "This area remains a key point of attraction: there are stands with the names of outstanding residents of the district, laureates of the year, and a memorial to internationalist soldiers. We will continue to develop this space. In the future, a memorial dedicated to our fellow countrymen who participated in the special military operation will appear here," said Pavel Kondakov, head of the local government of the Gaginsky district. The Alley of Heroes has become the seventh area in Gagino where work has been carried out as part of the national project since 2019. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Its main goal is to provide citizens with socially significant infrastructure of a new quality. The project consists of 11 federal projects that include goals previously outlined in the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment," "Safe Quality Roads," and state programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed at the development of road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road safety, and developing public passenger transport.
