More than 200 people participated in the first night swim of X-WATERS Volga.

      On June 25 and 26, the anniversary, tenth, open water swim X-WATERS Volga (12+) is taking place in Nizhny Novgorod, with participants from 190 cities around the world.

      On the morning before, ultramarathon runners completed their distance of 30 km, and late in the evening, the first night swim in the history of the competition took place. It involved 250 professional swimmers and amateurs. They swam a distance of 600 meters along the Rowing Canal under the cable car and finished near the "Boat-Hero" monument on the Lower Volga embankment.

      Among these brave participants was the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Dmitry Kabailo.

      "I swam the first night swim of my life and the first in the history of X-WATERS Volga. The views of Nizhny from the river are incredibly beautiful!" he shared on his Max channel.

      Today, competitions will take place at distances of 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10 km.

      We remind you that on July 25 and 26, due to the swim event, the waters of the Volga in the area of Nizhny Novgorod will be inaccessible for river transport.
