The slope of the Zelensky congress is being reinforced after the spring landslide.

      July 21, 2026 15:19 Society Work continues on strengthening the slope at the Zeleny descent, where soil slid this spring. The mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, reported on the progress of the work in his MAX channel.

      Recall that the landslide at the Zeleny descent occurred at the end of March. It took several days to eliminate its consequences.

      According to the mayor, the cause was an abnormally snowy winter, which caused the soil to become heavily saturated with moisture. Specialists have already installed and are securing the geogrid. After this, the slope will be reinforced with screw piles to protect it from possible erosion.

      In the final stage, the surface will be covered with fertile soil and seeded with grass.

      At the same time, work is underway on Pozharsky Street, located above the slope. There, the configuration of the roadway is being changed, and the drainage system is being rearranged to direct water runoff away from the slope.

      "All work is on schedule, there are no delays," Shalabaev reported.
