New utility cost standards have been approved in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      July 25, 2026 16:16 Economy The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region has approved the standards for the cost of housing and communal services per square meter of total housing area for the years 2027-2029. The corresponding decree has been published on the official legal information portal. According to the document, in 2027, the standard will be 252 rubles per square meter per month. In 2028, it will increase to 269.9 rubles, and in 2029, to 286.3 rubles. These standards are necessary for calculating state subsidies for housing and communal services payments. If a family's expenses for housing and communal services exceed the established regional share of total income, the amount of financial support is determined based on this. Additionally, the indicators allow for calculating how much funding needs to be allocated in the budget for targeted subsidies. At the same time, the document recognizes as invalid the decree of August 18, 2025, No. 555, effective from January 1, 2027. It approved the standards for 2026-2028: 231.8 rubles for 2026, 250.1 rubles for 2027, and 264.9 rubles for 2028.
