Wildberries does not abandon the construction of a warehouse in Novinki.

      On July 25, 2026, 10:22 Society Wildberries & Russ have not abandoned the construction of a logistics complex in Nizhny Novgorod, despite recent attacks by Ukrainian drones on the company's warehouses in other regions. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the company's press service.

      In July, Ukrainian UAVs attacked Wildberries logistics centers several times. The warehouses in the Tambov region, Moscow region, Krasnodar, Nevinnomyssk, as well as near St. Petersburg and in Simferopol were hit.

      The company has already begun payments to sellers for the damaged goods. The Nizhny Novgorod authorities will also assist local entrepreneurs in obtaining compensation after the attacks on the warehouses.

      "Currently, work is ongoing to obtain all necessary permits for the implementation of the project in Nizhny Novgorod. A decision on the start of construction will be communicated later," representatives of the marketplace said.

      Let us remind you that the company plans to build a logistics complex with an area of 150 thousand square meters in Novinki. The project provides for the creation of up to 7 thousand jobs. At the beginning of June, the warehouse project passed a non-governmental examination.

      However, local residents are opposed to the construction. They fear a deterioration of the environmental situation, issues regarding the safety of children, and believe that the decision to place the facility is made without considering the opinion of the population.

      In June, residents recorded a video appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking him to intervene in the situation. After that, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin instructed to present him with a report on the results of the investigation, and a criminal case was initiated.
