The readiness of the Svetloyarsk Lake beach for the swimming season was checked by the party team of "United Russia."

On July 22, 2026, at 15:49, Society In the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, a party inspection took place to check the readiness of the beach at Lake Svetloyar for the swimming season. The working group included representatives from the district administration, an employee from police department No. 8 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, staff from the regional public reception of D.A. Medvedev, activists from the All-Russian Public Organization "Fathers of Russia," and activists from the "United Russia" party.

"Today we inspected the beach and public spaces. The park was improved in 2019-2020, and after 6-7 years, its condition is excellent. Everything is maintained in superb condition. People are satisfied—we talked to both parents and children, and everyone is enjoying the improvements. However, during the inspection, we noticed something else: unfortunately, there are cases where parents with small children are on the beach not entirely sober. That is why not only self-discipline is important, but also public control. Such raids discipline, help people make the right decisions, and prevent similar situations in the future. Monitoring is necessary not just to see if everything is in place, but so that people feel that their safety is being watched over and that they are cared for," emphasized Mikhail Morozov, General Director of JSC "Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Nizhny Novgorod," and territorial coordinator of the project "It's Up to You!"

The participants of the raid paid special attention to children's safety. During the inspection, they checked for the presence of buoys marking the swimming boundaries for children, assessed the condition of the children's swimming area, as well as the availability of a boat, rescue equipment, and the completeness of the first aid kit at the rescue post.

"Regular monitoring is an opportunity to see the situation with your own eyes and hear from residents directly. Based on the results of the visit to Lake Svetloyar in the Sormovsky district, we can say: the area is in good condition, there are no serious complaints. This is the result of the joint work of deputies, activists, and concerned residents of the district. We will continue to monitor public spaces—safety and comfort for family recreation remain our priorities," said Viktor Lunin, head of the regional public reception of D.A. Medvedev.

Separately, the working group inspected the children's playground "Pirate Cove" with slides, various climbing structures, and swings: all equipment is in working order. The party inspection also assessed the safety and cleanliness of the coastal area, the condition of the water, and the availability of sunshade umbrellas.

During the inspection, the participants also interacted with vacationers and received feedback on the state of the public space. Specialists conducted preventive talks with children and teenagers who were on the beach without adult supervision.

The results of the monitoring were commented on by Artem Popov, a member of the All-Russian Public Movement "Fathers of Russia" in the Nizhny Novgorod region:

"First of all, I want to note that there is a very good family atmosphere here: many vacationers, everyone in a good mood, children under the watchful eye of parents and lifeguards. Lifeguards are equipped with everything necessary—equipment, first aid kits, gear. There are many public spaces on the beach: playgrounds, swimming areas with sun loungers, volleyball courts, outdoor exercise equipment, and even a fishing area. There are barriers and buoys in the swimming area. I can give a satisfactory assessment of our monitoring. We will continue such visits."

Let us remind you that issues of safety and improvement of public spaces are one of the key sections of the People's Program. Special attention is paid to children's safety in water bodies. Party activists, together with representatives of administrations, law enforcement agencies, and public organizations, regularly conduct systematic monitoring of beaches and recreation areas to identify risks. In case of identifying deficiencies, information is promptly forwarded to the relevant services for rectification of violations.
