The delegation of the Ministry of Forestry studied the experience of Belarus.

      The delegation of the Ministry of Forestry of the Nizhny Novgorod region, headed by Minister Roman Vorobyov, participated in an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the forestry management authority of the Republic of Belarus. The event also featured a Russian delegation led by the Deputy Head of Rosleskhoz Alexander Panfilov, as well as heads of forestry departments from the Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, Vologda, and Leningrad regions, and the Republics of Tatarstan and Khakassia. Among the participants were representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The participants discussed current issues in the development of the forestry sector, including the impact of climate change on forest resources. Roman Vorobyov emphasized the importance of professional cooperation with Belarusian colleagues, sharing experiences in forest fire protection, pest control, reforestation, and sustainable forest management. As a result of the forum, awards were presented to deserving workers and veterans of the industry who contributed to the development of forestry. They were given commemorative badges marking the 90th anniversary of forestry in the Republic of Belarus. Awards were also received by the heads of regional forestry departments who participated in the conference. The delegation from the Nizhny Novgorod region familiarized themselves with the model of integrated forest management of the Pruzhany forestry enterprise in the Brest region, which includes deep wood processing, systematic reforestation, and management of hunting resources. The experience gained is planned to be analyzed for possible adaptation in the forestry practices of the region.
