The floating bridge over the Oka in Pavlovo was opened after scheduled repairs.

      On July 15, 2026, at 18:11, Society The floating bridge over the Oka River on the highway "Pavlovo - Tumbotino - Gorokhovets" has started operating in normal mode after the completion of scheduled repairs, reported the Main Department of Automobile Roads of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The bridge is a pontoon structure consisting of five sections and 42 pontoons. Its length is 323.4 meters, the width of the roadway is 6.84 meters, and the pedestrian path is 1.2 meters. The department noted that by law, floating bridges are required to undergo inspection by the Russian Classification Society every five years. The validity of the previous certificate expired on June 30, 2026, so the structure was sent for scheduled repairs with subsequent receipt of a new operating permit. The contract for the work was concluded by the State Budgetary Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "GUAD" in April 2026. The sections of the bridge were transported to two sites - to the settlement of Oktyabrsky on the Bor and to the Chkalov Shipyard. Specialists restored the pontoons' hulls and ramps (inclines for entering the bridge), replaced worn and deformed connection elements between sections, repaired anchoring and mooring equipment, and electrical equipment. It should be noted that the bridge was dismantled in March due to flooding and for scheduled maintenance. The installation of the structure began on July 13.
