Nizhny Novgorod woman received a suspended sentence for commercial bribery during procurement.

      On July 15, 2026, at 18:47, Incidents: The court issued a sentence to a former employee of a mattress manufacturing company, found guilty of commercial bribery. The woman was convicted on two counts of the crime provided for in paragraph "g" of part 7 of article 204 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the regional investigative committee reported. It was established that from 2018 to 2021, while working as a procurement manager in the purchasing department, she systematically received money from representatives of commercial organizations. In return, the employee assisted these organizations within the framework of procurement procedures that fell within her official duties. During the court proceedings, the defendant fully admitted her guilt and expressed remorse for her actions. The court sentenced her to six years of conditional imprisonment with a probation period of four years and six months. In addition, more than 1.4 million rubles obtained through criminal means were confiscated for the benefit of the state. Earlier, it was reported that in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a judge who issued a lenient sentence in a case of a fatal traffic accident received a conditional sentence.
