Families of the participants of the SVO visited the Nizhny Novgorod planetarium.

On July 15, 2026, at 17:36 Culture and Leisure 20 family members of participants in the special military operation visited the Nizhny Novgorod Planetarium named after G.M. Grechko. "The main priority today is for the participants of the special military operation and their family members to feel protected. More than 50 support measures are in place in the region—these are real tools that help people in various life situations: from payments and benefits to legal and psychological assistance. Since the beginning of the special military operation, we have also sent over 400 tons of humanitarian aid—this is a significant contribution from our region to the common cause of defending the country. But there is another side: simple things like a trip to the planetarium. This is an opportunity for families to be together, to relax, to see the sparkle in their children's eyes. This is also support, and it is no less important than any other measures," noted a participant in the special military operation, Deputy Head of the Coordination Center for Supporting Military Personnel, Mobilized Individuals, and Their Families of the ANO "Center for Public Relations - Nizhny Novgorod House of National Unity," winner of the preliminary voting of "United Russia," Vladimir Petrukhov. For the guests, a full-dome program "Parade of Planets 2. Comet from Deep Space" was shown. The plot centers on Earth, which is experiencing the concern that people are reaching for the stars and may forget about their home planet. Meanwhile, treacherous asteroids are plotting a collision of the comet with Earth. The program engagingly tells about the sizes of the planet, its continents and oceans, the diversity of life, and also demonstrates the seasonal starry sky. "I used to be little interested in space, but today I learned a lot of new things, and it really captivated me. Space turned out to be very interesting, and I wanted to study it further," said 13-year-old Denis. "The program is wonderful! I was just as interested as my son. It's great that it's not only engaging but also educational. Huge thanks to the organizers. We had a great and useful time. I think we will visit the Planetarium more often now," added mother Maria. Such meetings help the families of military personnel to distract from everyday worries, spend time together, and learn something new. Supporting defenders and their loved ones remains one of the key areas of work for "United Russia" and is among the priorities of the Party's People's Program.
