On July 13, 2026, at 14:55, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod "Limpopo," several pleasant events occurred: the zoo welcomed new inhabitants, and the European deer had offspring. Five babies were born in the family of these graceful animals: three males and two females. One of the male cubs has an unusual dark coloration. According to the zoo, the newborns are doing well, developing actively, and are already beginning to show interest in the surrounding world and visitors.

Another notable event was the arrival of a Far Eastern leopard cub at "Limpopo." The young predator is a melanist, possessing a rare black coloration. He came from the Barnaul Zoo and has not yet reached one year of age.

As reported by the general director of "Limpopo," Vladimir Gerasichkin, at first, the leopard preferred to hide in his house and was cautious. Now he has gradually settled in, goes out into the enclosure, and is already showing his character—trying to hiss and snarl.

Additionally, a male of a rare primate from South America, the white-faced saki, has taken up residence in the zoo. Plans are in place to bring a female for him in the future. For now, the new inhabitant is actively exploring the space of his enclosure and getting used to the new environment.

The white-faced sakis got their name due to their contrasting appearance: a dark body combined with a light face. In their natural habitat, they live in northern South America and are rarely found in Russian zoos.
