The feast day was celebrated in the church of the village of Epifanovo in the Vacha deanery.

      July 9 became a special day for the small but spiritually rich village of Epifanovo. On this day, the local church celebrated its patronal feast in honor of one of the most revered relics of the Russian Orthodox Church – the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God. The celebration gathered many believers under the church's roof and on its grounds, who came from all corners of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Their journey, sometimes not short, was dictated by deep faith and the desire to touch the relic, share in the joy of the patronal feast, and receive spiritual comfort. The Divine Liturgy, which became the culmination of the celebration, was performed by the archpriest of the Vachsky district, Father Valentin Varakin. His heartfelt sermon and prayers filled the hearts of the parishioners with grace and strengthened them in faith. On this day, the church was especially festive, adorned with flowers and shining from the multitude of candles lit in honor of the Most Holy Theotokos. After the service, the believers, in a procession, singing prayers and the Akathist to the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, headed to the holy spring of the same name. A water blessing service was held at the spring. Father Valentin Varakin performed the rite of blessing the water and then sprinkled all those present. At the end of the celebration, the priest congratulated all the worshippers on the patronal feast and expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the preparation for the celebration. Special words of appreciation were addressed to the administration of the administrative-territorial unit, as well as to all the volunteers whose efforts cleaned the area of the holy spring, decorated the church, and prepared refreshments for the pilgrims. Their labor and care made this day truly bright and unforgettable.
