The party team of "United Russia" inspected the road repairs in the Lenin district.

      July 9, 2026 10:23 Politics A party delegation led by Ilya Zotov, the chairman of the All-Russian public organization for the protection of passenger rights "Passenger Union" and a candidate for the State Duma from "United Russia," inspected the new road on Kislovodskaya Street in the Lenin district. The site is located in a private sector. The asphalt surface has been repaired over an area of more than 2,000 square meters. The length of the road is 1 kilometer.

      Until recently, the road on Kislovodskaya Street was often avoided. Water constantly accumulated here, and residents of nearby houses rarely could go outside without rubber boots. Last year, the application for road repair won the "You Decide!" project.

      "We have been participating in the 'You Decide' program since the fall of 2025. On the neighboring streets—Permskaya and Krasnoetnovskaya—asphalt has already been laid, while we remained the only street in the area without a road. We walked on dirt, through puddles, and sometimes it was even difficult to get home. And in just a month, they built us a road! Now it’s very convenient to walk, in the evenings people even go out for a stroll. That never happened before. We are very happy! We are already thinking about new initiatives for improvement, and we hope to be heard again," shared local resident Galina Kargina.

      As a result of the party delegation's visit, the participants noted that the work was done well. The technology for laying asphalt was followed. The project was completed on time.

      "The quality of roads contributes to the comfort of the urban environment. Thanks to the 'You Decide' project, over five years in the Nizhny Novgorod region, work has been carried out on the construction and reconstruction of roads and sidewalks that tens of thousands of residents use. This work continues thanks to proactive local residents: they decide how to transform our region. The repair on Kislovodskaya Street has been completed, and residents are satisfied with the quality, and all comments and suggestions were taken into account in the work. We achieve such results only through the joint efforts of Nizhny Novgorod residents and government authorities. 'United Russia' will continue to monitor the timelines and quality of road works in the region, responding to signals and suggestions from our residents," noted Ilya Zotov.
