The Nizhny Novgorod AIDS Center has been recognized as one of the leaders in digital medicine in Russia.

      The Nizhny Novgorod Center for the Fight Against AIDS received second place in the all-Russian competition of digital projects in medicine. The results were announced on July 7 in Moscow. This was reported by the editor-in-chief of "Statsionar-Press," Alexey Nikонов.

      The competition was organized by the Moscow State University of Management, the Children's Scientific and Clinical Center named after L. M. Roshal, and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Center for Expert Programs VOK."

      The digital transformation of the Nizhny Novgorod AIDS center encompassed the laboratory, several departments, and the pharmacy. The institution automated part of its routine processes and strengthened quality control.

      "The digital transformation of the AIDS center affected the laboratory, several departments, and the pharmacy; we enhanced quality control and automated routine operations," said the chief physician of the institution, Solomon Apoyan.

      Currently, the center has a robotic laboratory integrated with the Unified Digital Health Platform. It also features the first AI assistant in the Nizhny Novgorod region for quick assessment of patients' health status.

      The next stage of development will involve the introduction of robots for transporting, sorting, and accompanying laboratory cargo. According to Solomon Apoyan, this should further automate the internal processes of the institution.

      Second place in the all-Russian competition is a recognition of the results of the digital renewal of the Nizhny Novgorod AIDS center at the federal level.
