An unknown man drowned in the Kanavinsky district in the Hospital Lake.

      On July 5, 2026, at 14:01, Incidents A tragic incident occurred at a body of water in the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod region. A witness, strolling along Lake Bolnichnoye, located on Moscow Highway, discovered the body of a man showing no signs of life on the shore. He immediately reported the incident to emergency services. Rescuers from the emergency rescue team of the Municipal Institution "UGChS of the city of Nizhny Novgorod" promptly arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, medical assistance was no longer needed for the man. Work is currently underway to establish the identity of the deceased. Specialists are investigating all the circumstances of the incident. It is worth noting that three people drowned in the region the day before. Earlier, on July 4, specialists retrieved the body of a 45-year-old man from the Oka River in the Pavlovsky district. Two more tragic cases were recorded in Balakhna and Bor.
