How Nizhny Novgorod is coping with the heat: road workers are watering the asphalt and lawns

In this regard, road services have intensified their work on watering the roadway and green areas, the mayor Yuri Shalabaev reported on his MAX channel. Daily, 50 combined road machines are operating on the line. With the help of jets in different directions, they cool the asphalt and additionally humidify the air, which helps extend the lifespan of the surface. Street washing continues during nighttime hours. These works are carried out regularly to maintain order in the city. The hot weather has increased the load on the lifeguards at the city beaches. The number of vacationers has grown, but not everyone follows the rules of behavior in the water. "Parents: be attentive to your children! Adults, vacationing in groups: do not enter the water heated not only by the heat but also by other 'degrees'," emphasized the head of the city.
