This was reported by the head of the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city, Valery Ivanov, at a meeting of the city interdepartmental commission for the prevention of offenses. According to him, the total number of road traffic accidents decreased by 91 cases to 623. The number of injured decreased by 112 people to 715, and the number of fatalities decreased by five. The number of accidents involving personal mobility devices almost halved. At the same time, there was an increase in accidents involving electric bicycles, from 15 to 23 cases.

      "The most severe consequences continue to be characterized by incidents caused by drivers: driving under the influence, without a driver's license, speeding, and failure to yield," noted Valery Ivanov.

      He added that the implementation of the pilot project for the prevention of "drunk" accidents allowed for a reduction in the number of such accidents by 23, and the number of injured in them by 44 people. The State Traffic Inspectorate received and processed 556 calls to the number 112, confirming 89 violations, and 83 people received regional payments.
