Nizhny Novgorod youth will be supported with grants for the implementation of social projects.

Youth of the Nizhny Novgorod region aged 14 to 35 can apply for grants of up to 300,000 rubles, which must be directed towards the implementation of their socially significant initiatives. To do this, they need to participate in the All-Russian competition "Rosmolodyozh. Grants: 'Microgrants'" by July 16, as part of the federal project "Russia - a Land of Opportunities" under the national project "Youth and Children." The competition provides an opportunity to receive financial support for the implementation of projects in 18 areas: from organizing youth employment and developing small territories to environmental education, promoting sports, preserving historical memory, and strengthening family values. The minimum grant amount is 5,000 rubles, and the maximum is 300,000 rubles. A simplified reporting documentation system is provided for participants. Applications can be submitted on the "Youth of Russia" platform (https://myrosmol.ru/events/03fafc20-7018-4d4a-83fb-a9e77864c361) until 12:00 on July 16, 2026. Before filling out the application, it is recommended to familiarize oneself with the methodological recommendations for individuals. There are already many successful examples in the Nizhny Novgorod region where competition support has helped turn bold ideas into real actions. For instance, a patriotic and gastronomic festival #HeroesNOTsky took place in the region. The Taste of Aviation event was implemented by Yulia Kryuchkova, who won in the #remember nomination. The project is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of test pilot V.P. Chkalov and the 90th anniversary of cosmonaut Yu.A. Gagarin. This is the first youth festival that tells the history of Russia and the development of the aerospace sector through a gastronomic program, introduces the biographies of pilots and cosmonauts, showcases achievements in technological progress, and presents a variety of professions related to space and aviation. In 2025, the festival took place for the third time. The program was opened by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin. About 2,000 people participated: youth, families with children, residents, and guests of the Chkalovsky municipal district. Additionally, with grant funds, an interregional intensive on the development of international activities was held, authored by Alexandra Trifonova, who won in the #unite nomination. The project is a two-day intensive for Russian and foreign students from the Volga Federal District aimed at strengthening international youth cooperation and public diplomacy. Thanks to the grant, the project has been implemented for several years and annually confirms its demand: the number of applications is growing, and the geography of participants is expanding - in 2024, representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Germany, and Egypt showed interest. Graduates of the intensive continue to implement the developed practices in their universities, launch their own initiatives, and maintain connections within the community. The project "Underwater Saturday 2.0" was implemented by Vladimir Tushavin, who won in the #save_nature nomination. "Underwater Saturday" is a family eco-volunteer movement in the Nizhny Novgorod region, uniting at least 30 young families interested in ecology. Various ecological activities are carried out within the project: diving Saturdays for cleaning water bodies and the eco-festival "Underwater Saturday: Continuation," aimed at developing eco-habits. Participation in ecological actions as a family is a form of joint leisure and communication, which families are often deprived of in everyday life. The winner in the #save_nature nomination, Lyubov Zhuravleva, implemented the project "Sanitary cleaning of the riverbed and banks of the 'ECO-point Valava' - a comprehensive ecological initiative in Lyskov, Nizhny Novgorod region, aimed at restoring the small river Valava and creating the first educational eco-site on its banks. The goal of the project is to form sustainable ecological thinking in children and youth through practice: clearing paths and banks, planting trees, participating in field expeditions, and a literary competition.
