Rescuers retrieved the bodies of two men from the water bodies of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On July 4, 2026, at 15:41, incidents occurred in the Nizhny Novgorod region involving two tragic cases on the water. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES). In the Pavlovsky district, a diving team from the Volga regional search and rescue squad of the MES of Russia was working in the waters of the Oka River. Specialists retrieved the body of a 45-year-old man from the river. Another incident was recorded in the Sokolsky district. In the area of the village of Rameshki on the Gorky Reservoir, employees of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (GIMS) of the MES of Russia extracted the body of a 70-year-old man from the water. The circumstances of the incidents are being clarified. It was previously reported that in the Bor district, investigators are establishing the circumstances of a child's death in a water body.
