A fire in the Nizhny Novgorod region claimed the lives of two people.

      On July 4, 2026, at 09:46, Incidents: A deadly fire occurred in a private residential house in the village of Pochinki. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. As a result of the fire, two people died - a man and a woman. Their identities are currently being established. Nine units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia were involved in extinguishing the fire. Investigators from the emergency agency are determining the cause of the incident. It was previously reported that a man died in Nizhny Novgorod after his clothing caught fire.
