The relevant orders from the Ministry of Forestry have been posted on the official website for the publication of regulatory acts. The reason is cases of rabies and the introduced quarantine. The work will take place from June 24 to July 23, 2026. Foxes of any age and sex can be shot. In the Ardatovsky district, it is planned to hunt 10 animals in the hunting grounds of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Society of Hunters and Fishermen and in the publicly accessible hunting grounds of the district. In April, they were identified as epizootic foci for rabies, and quarantine was introduced in the villages of Rizadeevo and Mikheevka, where rabies had previously been detected. Additionally, in the Dalnekonstantinovsky municipal district, it is planned to remove four foxes. The work will be carried out in the hunting economy of LLC "Vepr-NN". In March, quarantine was introduced in the area due to a sick predator.
