However, the crooks are not idle, and the nightlife of the street remains vibrant. Instead of consumer girls, "heartbreakers" have appeared, operating on a similar scheme. A source from "KP-Petersburg" revealed one of these criminal schemes. The plot is simple but effective. An entrepreneur and deputy from the Moscow region, Ivan, came to St. Petersburg for a few months for work. He rented an apartment on Rubinstein and began visiting local bars and restaurants. One night, tired after a busy day, he was heading home when Victoria and Athena - a mother and daughter (names changed) - approached him. They offered to give him a ride home, and Ivan agreed. They stopped at a shot bar, where they got acquainted and started talking. Ivan shared about his work and invited them to his apartment. Before that, they stopped by an alcohol store and bought snacks. In the apartment, they spent time talking and drinking. In the morning, Athena took Ivan by the hand and led him to the bedroom, but their plans were interrupted by the mother, who suddenly left. Athena followed her. Ivan was left alone and, sobering up, discovered that 89,000 rubles had been withdrawn from his bank card. He contacted Athena, but she claimed that he had transferred the money to her himself. A couple of days later, Athena and her friend approached another man in the bar - a tipsy Roman. They began flirting with him, and he paid their bill of 2,500 rubles. Then he ordered a taxi home, but on the way, his vestibular system let him down, and he sent the girls on their way. In the morning, Roman found that 351,000 rubles had disappeared from his card. He remembered that Athena had snatched his phone to check the taxi payment. The police detained Victoria and Athena and interrogated them. The mother and daughter claimed that the money was a gift, but the men simply didn't remember due to having drunk too much. Criminal cases were initiated against them under the theft article. The full list of the mother and daughter's victims is not fully known. During the investigation, Athena's iPhone revealed correspondence with her mother, in which she described how she had slipped a drug into a man's drink at the bar. The mother scolded her for this, but Athena replied that it would help them get money. Initially, they faced up to six years in prison.
