More than 30 new sites have been added to the investment map of the Nizhny Novgorod region for the first half of the year.

In the first half of 2026, more than 30 new sites appeared on the investment map of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Currently, the system lists over 600 facilities ready for the implementation of projects of various profiles. This was reported by the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Among the updated proposals are a plot of 93.9 hectares near the village of Fominka in the Lukoyanovsky district, suitable for agricultural activities, and a 5-hectare plot on Larin Street in Nizhny Novgorod, intended for the placement of manufacturing facilities. "The investment map allows entrepreneurs to quickly and conveniently select a territory that meets all the requirements of the planned project. Moreover, as part of the latest update, investors have the opportunity to independently place their sites, which simplifies the search for partners and co-investors," said Igor Ishchenko, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the corporation, around 30 sites focused on agriculture and the processing industry were implemented in the first half of the year. The investment map was developed in accordance with the regional investment standard—a set of measures to create a favorable business environment. It includes an investment declaration, a development agency, an investment committee, the investment map itself, and a set of investment rules regulating the "customer journey" of the investor. The standard aims to simplify interaction with authorities and resource-supplying organizations and to reduce project implementation timelines. According to the developers, all elements of the standard have already been implemented in the region. The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod region was established at the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin and accompanies projects at all stages—from providing information and support during site inspections to commissioning facilities. The organization coordinates interaction with executive authorities, municipalities, natural monopoly entities, and other structures. It should be noted that since 2025, increasing investment activity has been part of the federal project of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy." Its goal is to make business conditions more transparent, distribute risks between the state and investors, and ensure systemic support measures for increasing the share of investments in the gross regional product.
