The contractor is being sought again for the expansion of the Novo-Striginsky cemetery.

On July 1, 2026, at 12:27, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, a contractor is once again being sought for the expansion of the Novo-Striginsky cemetery. The corresponding application has been posted on the government procurement portal. The customer is also the MBU "Main Department for Capital Construction of the City of Nizhny Novgorod." The initial cost of the contract remains the same - 347,593,410 rubles.

Recall that previously, a contractor was only identified on the second attempt: no applications were submitted for the first auction, and only one was submitted for the second. In mid-May, the competition was recognized as successful, and they planned to conclude a contract with the winner; however, the name of the company was not published on the site. But, as indicated by the information on the government procurement website, the contractor evaded the conclusion of the contract. They were included in the register of unscrupulous suppliers.

In this regard, a new competition has been announced. Applications are accepted until July 16, and the results are planned to be summarized on July 20. The project involves the expansion of the cemetery by almost 19.3 hectares. The new area adjoins the southern, southwestern, and southeastern sides of the existing territory. They intend to arrange 20,644 burial sites here.

The contractor will need to carry out general construction work, arrange driveways, sidewalks, create outdoor lighting systems, drainage, water supply, ventilation, and fire alarm systems, among others. All work must be completed by December 20, 2030, according to the schedule. Funding is provided from the budget of Nizhny Novgorod for the years 2026-2030.

It was previously reported that eight municipal cemeteries in the Kstovo district were closed for free burials. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
