Scientists warned of a sharp increase in activity on the Sun.

      On June 30, 2026, at 19:45, Society reports a significant increase in solar activity. If there were 5 flares the day before yesterday, there were already 8 yesterday, and today their number has reached 17.       Scientists note that this morning the first M-level flares were recorded, and now it remains only to overcome the X threshold, which has yet to be conquered. The largest active region of this year, located directly opposite Earth, has not yet produced flares of the highest level. But they could occur at any moment, experts emphasized.

      Analysis of space images showed that two groups of sunspots, which visually appear to be separated on the surface, have merged into a complex magnetic structure at the coronal level. They exchange energy through magnetic field lines. On one hand, this helps to discharge excess energy between them; on the other hand, such a structure can accumulate enough energy for a powerful explosion.
