      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the first results of the operation "Illegal -2026," which took place in the region from June 1 to June 10, were summarized.       "Illegal-2026" is a comprehensive operational and preventive operation, during which places of work, mass gatherings, and residence of foreign citizens were placed under special control. During the inspections, 1,120 violations of migration legislation were identified. One foreign citizen was on the federal wanted list.

      According to the results of the operation, 190 decisions on administrative expulsion from Russia were made in court, and 218 foreign citizens were banned from entering the country. Four decisions on deportation were also made. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate also participated in the operation. As a result of their work, 32 administrative offenses were identified, and 61 criminal cases were initiated.

      The operation "Illegal-2026" strengthens migration discipline. It aims to remind the residents of the region to take the laws more responsibly.
