Nizhny Novgorod car owners most often change premium cars and "Chinese" cars.

      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region remain loyal to crossovers and SUVs the longest, parting with them less frequently than with cars of other classes. This conclusion was reached by analysts from the "Avito Auto" service, who studied the ownership duration of used cars in three popular categories: SUVs, premium segment, and among Chinese brands. The sample included cars that had been with the first owner for at least one year. According to "Avtoteka" data, the average lifespan of SUVs in the region is 5.3 years. Meanwhile, 43% of SUVs and crossovers remain in one owner's hands for over five years. The real record-holder for "longevity" turned out to be the UAZ Hunter—its owners change it on average after 8.2 years. The top ten "most loyal" car owners also included owners of Suzuki Grand Vitara, Great Wall Hover H5, Suzuki SX4, Opel Mokka, Skoda Yeti, SsangYong Kyron, Chevrolet Niva, Chery Tiggo (T11), and SsangYong Actyon, who drive their cars for 6.7 to 7.8 years. In the premium class, cars are changed noticeably more often. The average ownership duration here is about four years. More than five years behind the wheel of a premium car are 27.1% of Nizhny Novgorod residents, while only 5% of owners drive such cars for over ten years. The longest in this segment is the Land Rover Range Rover—on average 4.6 years. Following are the Lexus RX, BMW X3, BMW 5 Series, BMW X6, and Audi Q7 (each 3.9 years), as well as the BMW X5 (3.6 years). Nizhny Novgorod residents part with Chinese cars the fastest—the average ownership duration is 3.7 years. Nevertheless, almost 20% (19.7%) of such cars still remain with their owners for more than five years, and 6.7% for over ten years. The leaders in lifespan in this category were the Great Wall Hover H5 (7.5 years), Chery Tiggo (T11) (6.9 years), Geely Emgrand EC7 (6.8 years), and LIFAN X60 (6.7 years).
