This conclusion was reached by experts from Avito Auto, who analyzed the ownership duration of used cars in three popular segments - SUV, premium, and Chinese brands. The study included cars that had been with the first owner for at least one year. According to Avtoteka, the average ownership duration in the SUV segment in the region is 5.3 years. At the same time, 43% of cars remain with one owner for more than five years. The longest-lasting SUV is the UAZ Hunter, which is owned for an average of 8.2 years. The top ten models with the longest ownership durations also include the Suzuki Grand Vitara (7.8 years), Great Wall Hover H5 (7.5 years), Suzuki SX4 (7.4 years), Opel Mokka (7.2 years), Skoda Yeti (7.1 years), SsangYong Kyron (7.1 years), Chevrolet Niva (7.1 years), Chery Tiggo (T11) (7 years), and SsangYong Actyon (6.7 years). In the premium segment, cars are changed noticeably faster. The average ownership duration here is about four years. More than five years, 27.1% of cars remain with the first owner, and only 5% for more than ten years. The longest in this segment is the Land Rover Range Rover, which is used for an average of 4.6 years. Among the leaders are also the Lexus RX (4.5 years), BMW X3 (4.3 years), BMW 5 Series, BMW X6, and Audi Q7 - all at 3.9 years, as well as the BMW X5 (3.6 years). The average ownership duration of Chinese cars is 3.7 years. More than five years, 19.7% of such cars remain with one owner, and over ten years - 6.7%. The Great Wall Hover H5 (7.5 years), Chery Tiggo (T11) (6.9 years), Geely Emgrand EC7 (6.8 years), and LIFAN X60 (6.7 years) are the ones that tend to stay with owners the longest.
