Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo forward Pugachev has been selected by Montreal in the NHL draft.

      Nizhny Novgorod "Torpedo" player Gleb Pugachyov was drafted by Montreal with the 26th pick. The NHL Draft takes place on June 26 and 27 in Buffalo at the home arena of the Buffalo Sabres - the KeyBank Center. Gleb Pugachyov is 18 years old. He was born in Almaty, where he started playing hockey, and then moved with his family to Kaliningrad. Subsequently, the player played for the Podolsk "Vityaz," after which he continued his career development in the Nizhny Novgorod "Torpedo" system. In the 2025/2026 season, the forward played in the MHL for "Chaika." Additionally, he played 15 games in the VHL for "Torpedo-Gorky" and participated in 13 KHL matches with the main team of "Torpedo." His debut in the Continental Hockey League took place on January 6 - in a game against "Barys."
