More than 48 thousand initiatives have been submitted to the forum "Strong Ideas for a New Time."
More than 48,000 initiatives were submitted to the forum "Strong Ideas for a New Time." This is almost a third more than the previous year. Authors from all 89 regions of Russia presented projects in the areas of quality of life, entrepreneurship, technology, workforce training, ecology, climate, and regional development. Experts will then select the top 300 and top 100 initiatives. The best projects will be presented at the final event of the forum on August 24-25 in Nizhny Novgorod.
The organizers of the forum are the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Roscongress Foundation. Co-organizers include VEB.RF and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
"The interest of citizens in participating in the development of their cities, regions, and country does not wane. The demand for the forum grows every year. This is because people see results: many ideas from previous years have received support and found application at the regional and federal levels. With the increase in the number of applications, our responsibility also grows. It is important to consider all ideas and create conditions for the implementation of the most promising among them," noted Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the forum's organizing committee.
The largest number of initiatives traditionally came to the National Social Initiative—over 23,200 proposals. About 8,000 ideas were dedicated to the development of entrepreneurship, 5,900 to technology, 5,500 to ecology and climate issues, and 5,300 to workforce training. A separate track for the development of the Nizhny Novgorod region combined 336 projects. In addition to the Nizhny Novgorod region, the most active regions in this area included Moscow, the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
"The forum and the idea submission platform idea.roscongress.rf have long become not just mechanisms for collecting initiatives, but a large community of people interested in the development of the country. Today, it unites more than 650,000 participants from all regions of Russia and several foreign countries, including Belarus, Belgium, Egypt, Israel, Iraq, Kazakhstan, and Moldova. Each year, not only the number of incoming ideas grows, but also the level of engagement of authors, experts, and forum partners in the agenda. This truly confirms the high public demand for participation in shaping solutions that can influence the quality of life of people, regional development, and the achievement of national goals," emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Secretary of the Forum's Organizational Committee.
The most popular topic of the sixth forum was education and enlightenment—over 5,000 ideas. Nearly 4,000 proposals concern health care and healthy lifestyles, 3,300 support for families, motherhood, fatherhood, and childhood, and 2,700 social support for citizens. Other highly demanded topics included an eco-friendly living environment and technologies for its rehabilitation, a technological package for autonomy, the development of small towns, investments in quality of life, future skills, and projects in the field of the creative economy.
"Education, health, family, urban development, new technologies, opportunities for self-realization and professional growth—these are the questions around which the agenda of strong ideas is forming today. They are united by the main goal—the desire of people to improve the quality of life, expand opportunities for development, and create a more comfortable environment for themselves, their families, and future generations. It is especially important that authors come to the forum not only with problem statements but also with concrete solutions. The forum helps to see the country through the eyes of the people and shows that citizens are ready to act as co-authors of changes, propose projects, and promising developments that can bring practical benefits," emphasized Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of ASI.
More than 3,000 experts participated in the evaluation of projects, including representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Rossotrudnichestvo, and other federal authorities. Development institutions, companies, and public organizations also joined the work of the forum. The forum has about 55 partners, including the Innovation Promotion Fund, the Skolkovo Foundation, Sber, Tatneft, RZD-Medicine, HeadHunter, the Association of Veterans of the Special Military Operation, and other organizations. They participate in the expertise of initiatives, help authors refine projects, and promote the development of the most promising solutions.
The next stage is the formation of the top 300 projects of the forum. Then, the expert council of the Agency will select the 100 most promising solutions. The council includes representatives from state companies, business, scientific, educational, cultural, public, and technological organizations. Based on the results of the work, experts will also determine the top 10 initiatives to present to the country's leadership.
"Strong Ideas for a New Time" is the creative energy of people transforming into real projects. Each initiative can become the basis for designing solutions and programs of federal scale. The VEB group fully shares this agenda and is ready to assist authors of the most interesting proposals. Together, we can do a lot for the development of the economy and the social sphere of the country," emphasized Igor Shuvalov, Chairman of VEB.RF and Chairman of the ASI Expert Council.
The forum "Strong Ideas for a New Time" has been held since 2020 at the request of the President of Russia. Only in 2025, more than a thousand ideas received support from forum partners, and the authors of another 231 projects became participants in acceleration programs.
