Almost 200 graduates from Nizhny Novgorod scored 100 points on the Unified State Exam.
June 25, 2026 18:55 Society On June 25, the last reserve day of the main period of the Unified State Exam (USE) took place. Four examination venues operated on this day, with 396 participants. Graduates took all subjects, and the exams went smoothly—without disruptions or expulsions, reported the Minister of Education of the region, Mikhail Puchkov, on his MAX channel. The main stage of certification is complete. Results for some subjects are still pending, but preliminary results for the 2026 campaign have already been summarized—and they are significantly better than last year's. A maximum score of 100 points was achieved by 197 participants. This is 62 more than the previous year. According to preliminary data, the highest results were distributed as follows:
- 53 graduates in Russian language,
- 44 in specialized mathematics,
- 49 in physics,
- 20 in chemistry,
- 14 in history,
- 14 in literature,
- 3 in social studies.
Twenty graduates received 100 points in two subjects. This is twice as many as last year. The record result was achieved by Ilya Kovalev, a graduate of Lyceum No. 38. He scored 300 points, receiving 100 for Russian language, specialized mathematics, and physics. Last year, there were no similar results in the region.
"We are very pleased with the results in specialized mathematics and physics! We are waiting for the results in biology and I am confident that there will be graduates with the maximum number of points from the reserve days as well!" noted Puchkov.
It was previously reported that more than 60% of Nizhny Novgorod ninth-graders will continue their education in the secondary vocational education system.
