The competition program "Gorky fest-2026" has been published in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 24, 2026, at 16:28 Culture and Leisure X festival of new Russian cinema "Gorky fest" (18+) will take place in Nizhny Novgorod from July 3 to July 10. The main theme of the anniversary film review will be the symbol of the time machine, which will unite the festival programs and serve as a reason for conversation about the past, present, and future. As the program director of the festival, Andrey Apostolov, mentioned at the TASS press conference on June 24, this year the competition program includes 18 films - feature-length, short films, and documentary projects:

      Films will compete for festival awards in traditional nominations: "Best Film," "Best Director," "Best Screenplay," "Best Acting," "Best Visual Solution," and "Best Musical Solution." The acting award this year will bear the name of the People's Artist of the RSFSR, Yevgeny Yevstigneyev. In addition, the music award, established two years ago, will remain among the mandatory prizes of the festival. Besides professional awards, the festival will present an audience choice award. Partners of the review from the "Fishermen-Hunters" community have again established a special prize of 1 million rubles, the decision on its awarding will be made by a professional jury.
