Nizhny Novgorod will increase its budget for 2026 by 8 billion rubles.

This was announced at a meeting of the city duma by the director of the finance department of the city administration, Yuri Mochalkin, as reported by a correspondent from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod". The income and expenditure parts of the 2026 budget are proposed to be increased by 8.152 billion rubles. Revenues will grow by 8.14 billion rubles due to inter-budget transfers and by 11.1 million rubles from own revenues within the framework of comprehensive territorial development - these will be directed to payments for the buyout cost during the resettlement of citizens. Additional funding will be distributed across several areas. The education department will receive 176 million rubles, of which 173.9 million will go towards paying for concession agreements for the construction of schools, and another 2 million will be allocated to create conditions for children with disabilities to receive quality education. The department of physical culture and sports will receive 15 million rubles to meet the requirements of federal standards for sports training in sports schools. The largest amount of funds is allocated to the transport and road economy department - about 7 billion rubles. In particular, 117.5 million rubles will be allocated to reimburse the costs of the Nizhny Novgorod metro, 159.2 million for the extension of the Sormovo-Meshcherskaya line, and 7.45 billion for the extension of the Avtozavodskaya line (based on a guarantee letter from the governor). The housing and engineering infrastructure department will receive 10.9 million rubles for the repair of yard territories. The committee for managing city property will be allocated 109.4 million rubles for compensation for the seizure of plots for the extension of the Sormovo-Meshcherskaya metro line. The construction and capital repairs department is allocated 63.8 million rubles for the resettlement of citizens from emergency housing, 40.6 million for the construction of an apartment building on 40 Years of Victory Street, and 4.5 million rubles for preparing the area for the placement of a medical outpatient clinic in the Kultura settlement of the Kstovo district. At the same time, certain expenditure items are being reduced: for the capital repair of the roof of Lyceum No. 28 - by 1.2 million rubles and for the purchase of housing for citizens who lost it as a result of a fire - by 0.3 million rubles. Taking into account the adjustments, the budget revenues will amount to 87.4 billion rubles, expenditures - 90.54 billion rubles, and the deficit - 3 billion rubles. Changes will also affect 2027. It is planned to increase the income and expenditure parts by 14.047 billion rubles. According to Mochalkin, the increase in expenditures by 14.07 billion rubles is related to the governor's guarantee letter regarding the extension of the Avtozavodskaya metro line. At the same time, expenditures for paying concession agreements for the construction of schools will be reduced by 23 million rubles in connection with bringing indicators in line with the agreement on the provision of subsidies from the regional budget.
