The former head of "Teploenergo," Khalturin, is accused of illegally raising his salary.

      On June 23, the Nizhny Novgorod District Court continued to hear the case of the former head of JSC "Teploenergo," Ilya Khalturin. One of the episodes of the accusation is related to the increase in salary for the director of the subsidiary organization "Teploenergorremont NN," reports NewsNN.

      According to the prosecution, Khalturin illegally raised the salary of the head of the subsidiary company, Yakov Girkin. The former head of the heating supply organization is charged with four crimes, but his guilt must be established by the court.

      During the session, Valery Shatskov was questioned, who during the relevant period served as the acting director of the "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal." He stated that "Teploenergorremont NN" began to be involved in work at the Vodokanal facilities, which significantly increased the workload on employees and the general director.

      "Girkin said that people are leaving his organization because he cannot raise their salaries. He said that he himself has low income. And if he increases the salaries of the employees, they will earn more than he does," the witness stated.

      Earlier, Girkin himself informed the court that due to high workload, he was planning to resign. After that, Khalturin suggested discussing an increase in his salary at a meeting of the founders.

      The defendant presented the minutes of the meeting, which bore Shatskov's signature. The witness confirmed that he signed the document remotely, explaining that such practice was used when participants could not attend the meetings in person.

      Additionally, the court read the testimonies of two witnesses who did not appear at the hearing. According to them, Khalturin allegedly instructed to prepare tender documentation for certain contractors. The defense and the defendant himself will be able to present their arguments, and the court will give a final assessment of all the evidence.
