      Sales of new cars from the revived Volga brand officially started in Nizhny Novgorod on June 19. The new models were evaluated by a correspondent from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" at one of the dealerships. At the time of the sales launch, all three models were available in the showroom, starting with the mid-size crossover Volga K40, which is analogous to the Geely Atlas. This car can be purchased in three configurations - "Standard," "Comfort," and "Premium" - with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 150 horsepower and a two-liter engine with 200 horsepower. Depending on this, the price will vary - from 2,749,000 rubles, 3,049,000 rubles, or 3,799,000 rubles.

      The body color palette is available in white, silver, light green, blue, and black shades. This model is available with front-wheel and all-wheel drive, with the latter selectable starting from the "Comfort" configuration. The base equipment includes single-zone climate control, parking sensors, an audio system with six speakers, keyless entry with a push-button start, cruise control, a "winter package" of options, and four airbags.

      In the "Comfort" and "Premium" versions, a panoramic roof with a sunroof, wireless charging for smartphones, premium audio, dual-zone climate control, multi-color ambient lighting, heated rear seats, steering wheel, and windshield, two-tone body painting, as well as electric adjustments and ventilation for the front seats are added. Inside, the eco-leather interior features a digital instrument panel and a large vertical multimedia system screen, which controls the car.

      The difference between the configurations is relatively small. In the maximum configuration, there is adaptive cruise control: the car maintains its lane, steers, brakes in front of another car, and performs all actions by itself. And everyone notes the lighting; it can work to the rhythm of the music, the consultant said.

      The flagship crossover Volga K50 - analogous to the Geely Monjaro - can be purchased in white, silver, gray, black, and green finishes. Its configurations differ from the previous model - "Comfort," "Premium," and "Exclusive" with a two-liter turbo engine producing 238 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its price ranges from 4,199,000 rubles, 4,499,000 rubles, or 4,649,000 rubles.

      Even in the standard configuration, the car includes all-wheel drive, 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, three-zone climate control, an audio system with seven speakers, lighting and ventilation for the driver's seat, while in the top configurations, there are massage functions for the front seats, a panoramic roof with a sunroof, and a premium audio system with 12 speakers. The consultant mentioned that the number of K50 crossovers in the maximum configuration in matte black and toxic green colors will also be limited - "just 2-3 pieces."

      Inside, the leather and suede interior features a double panel that can be used independently by both the driver and the front passenger.

      Apple CarPlay as such is not available; dealers install it themselves. We will have a special block that connects via USB, where both CarPlay and Android Auto will be available. So, unfortunately, it hasn't arrived yet, but if a customer buys a car now, we will provide everything for free later. The subsequent models will already include it in a month or two, the consultant explained.

      The main advantages over the Geely Monjaro, according to the brand representative, are Russian production and large-scale assembly.

      And the most important thing is the maintenance. Geely has problems with spare parts. Geely Monjaro is essentially leaving the market, Volga is coming, and we will have no issues with spare parts. The first maintenance will be free, the dealership employee stated.

      Overall, according to the consultant, Volga differs from Geely only in the badge and internal settings. When asked, "What expresses the legacy of the 'Volga' from the Gorky Automobile Plant?" the young man could not answer.

      That is, all the "brains" are ours, reprogrammed differently; these cars also drive differently, shared the brand representative.

      The business sedan Volga C50 - analogous to the Geely Preface - will also be offered in "Standard," "Comfort," and "Premium" versions. This version is priced at approximately 2,899,000 rubles, 3,149,000 rubles, or 3,299,000 rubles. The car will be available in white, silver, gray, green, and black shades.

      In the base version, the car will feature eco-leather and wood imitation interior trim, four airbags, dual-zone climate control, an audio system with seven speakers, 360-degree cameras, and a "winter package" with heating. In the top versions, there will be electric lumbar support adjustment, electric folding and auto-dimming of the interior mirror, lane keeping assist, sign recognition, and more.

      Under the multimedia system screen are buttons for climate control, heating the windshield and rear window, and other functions. Next to them are an organizer and cup holders. In the tablet, you can set the necessary car settings, such as controlling the headlights, as well as activate 360-degree visibility; the cameras record from all sides of the car. By the way, they record the speed at which the Volga is moving, which is important in case of an accident.

      The speed is also displayed on the digital panel in front of the steering wheel, where you can also see the duration of the trip and when the car will need refueling. Next to it, as in previous models, is the "floating" panel, and at the back are rigid ISOFIX mounts for child car seats.

      It is worth noting that the first instances of the revived brand have features that will distinguish them from subsequent Volga cars. Firstly, the appearance of the radiator grille, which is currently convex, will later be concave. Secondly, inside the cabin, there is a "First Edition" plaque.

      Additionally, according to the dealership employee, there are restrictions on the mid-size crossover K40. Currently, this model is offered with a two-liter engine, but there are very few of them. Later, this car will mainly be produced with a 1.5-liter engine.

      The younger generation most often chooses the C50. The guys really like the sedan because of its appearance. Older couples take the K40 or K50; they are larger, and the technical specifications are different. I would personally choose the K50, the consultant admits.

      It is also noted that the brand's cars come with an extended warranty of five years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

      Recall that news about the revival of the Volga brand spread in February of this year. By May, the first instances were spotted at the dealership in Nizhny Novgorod. In honor of the brand, a new ice palace was also named at Strelka - "VOLGA Arena."
