Scammers offer Nizhny Novgorod teenagers 80 rubles for photos of the graves of soldiers from the Special Military Operation.

      On June 20, 2026, at 09:35, Incidents: Scammers are offering Nizhny Novgorod teenagers money for photographs of the graves of participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO). This was reported to the "Living in Nizhny" portal by Natalia Khalezova, deputy chair of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Nizhny Novgorod.

      According to her, the criminals promise children 80 rubles for each photo taken. The police warn that such photographs may be used in criminal schemes, including to deceive the relatives of servicemen. Natalia Khalezova noted that such actions could lead to liability under the article on treason.

      "By the same principle, scammers may ask to photograph factories and other strategic facilities," she emphasized.

      According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod region, since the beginning of 2026, 13 minors from the region have been recognized as victims of scammers. Additionally, in 35 criminal cases initiated against dropper scammers, schoolchildren from the Nizhny Novgorod region are involved.
