On the eve of Medical Worker Day, deputies and activists of "United Russia" congratulate doctors.

      On June 19, 2026, at 18:26, Society In the city clinical hospital No. 3 of Nizhny Novgorod, a solemn event was held dedicated to the Day of Medical Worker. Maxim Rebrov, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, congratulated the doctors on their professional holiday. "Nizhny Novgorod doctors are the pride of the region: more than 90% of highly qualified medical care can be received here without leaving the region. In the hands of doctors are the lives and well-being of citizens, so we should say 'thank you' to them not only on holidays but every day. I wish our dear medical workers good health, strength, energy, prosperity, and, of course, the pleasure of continuing their work. Know that we greatly appreciate your labor," said Maxim Rebrov. The best hospital staff were recognized with letters of gratitude. Thus, the chief geriatrician of the Nizhny Novgorod region, head of the geriatric department Lydia Kalinnikova received gratitude from the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the United Russia party for her contribution to the implementation of the party project "Older Generation" and the development of the innovative project "Help Button," which ensures rapid response to emergency situations among the elderly. "I work in a field that brings me genuine pleasure: I help the most vulnerable segment of the population - our pensioners. I believe that by helping older people, I carry out a high mission, and it is very gratifying that our work is truly valued and appreciated," said Lydia Kalinnikova.

      Improving the quality of the healthcare system is one of the priority tasks of the People's Program of United Russia. Nizhny Novgorod medical workers are actively making proposals for the new document. Lydia Kalinnikova also shared her initiatives: "As the chief freelance geriatrician of the Nizhny Novgorod region, I want to draw attention to the importance of providing assistance to elderly patients. This concerns both medication provision and high-tech assistance. A lot is being done in this direction in the region, but the main thing is to ensure that there is no ageism and refusals of medical assistance to the elderly. This is the foundation of our work," she noted. Also, on the eve of the Day of Medical Worker, volunteer medics from PIMU conducted a seminar on first aid for the children at the children's health camp "Forest Tale." The event took place as part of the party project of United Russia "Healthy Future." "First aid consists of simple rules that are accessible even to children, which help save a person's life until the ambulance arrives. I really hope that after our master classes, the kids will become interested in this topic, start studying medicine, and perhaps decide to become doctors," said PIMU volunteer medic Elizaveta Krupnova. The children were taught the correct way to examine an injured person, the algorithm for calling emergency services, and what information needs to be conveyed to the medics. The kids practiced performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on mannequins and providing assistance in case of airway obstruction.

      "This is not only interesting but also very useful and important for everyone. I learned how to perform resuscitation correctly: where and how to place my hands, maintain the rhythm. If someone falls on the street, I will be able to help. They explained and showed us everything - now I feel more confident and know what to do in a difficult situation," said 13-year-old Vova Vdovkin. The camp is actively working to strengthen the health of the younger generation and raise their medical culture. For their contribution to the preservation and strengthening of children's health, the doctor of the children's health camp "Forest Tale," Ekaterina Yeremeeva, was awarded a letter of gratitude from the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the United Russia party. "The Day of Medical Worker is a holiday for those who save lives and take care of our health every day. Their work requires not only knowledge but also immense spiritual strength: patience, endurance, and readiness to act in the most difficult conditions. Special thanks to those who work with children. They find an approach to little patients, help preserve health from birth, and lay the foundation for a healthy future. We are grateful to them for this important and necessary work," noted Yuri Balashov, the regional coordinator of the United Russia party project.
