Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" has retained Firstov in the squad for another two years.

Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" has retained Firstov in the squad for another two years.

The hockey club "Torpedo" has signed a new agreement with forward Vladislav Firstov. The contract is for two seasons and is unilateral.

In four seasons in the KHL, Firstov played 257 matches for the Nizhny Novgorod team, scoring 132 points in the "goal + assist" system - 64 goals and 68 assists.

The forward particularly shone in the recent playoff run. Firstov became the team's top scorer in the Gagarin Cup - he scored 4 goals and made 4 assists in 10 matches.

Firstov planned to continue his career at "Lokomotiv." The Yaroslavl club intended to make the player an offer sheet, but ultimately the deal fell through.

Torpedo's general director, Evgeny Zabuga, noted that the situation with the forward highlighted the importance of maintaining good relationships and open dialogue.

"We are glad to keep him on the team and believe that he will be doubly motivated to win with 'Torpedo,' reaching the peak of his hockey career in our club," added Zabuga.

It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" will hold a test game at "Volga Arena" against Moscow's "Dynamo." NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
