More than 30 book exchange points have opened in Nizhny Novgorod.

      They operate based on libraries and in public spaces of the city. Currently, there are more than 30 book exchange points in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by the city department of culture to the news agency "Vremya N." The infrastructure is primarily made up of specialized zones for book exchanges at the Central City Children's Library named after Gorky (Yefremova St., 2), the Central District Library named after Furmanov (Lenin Ave., 14), the Central District Library named after Dostoevsky (Gorokhovetskaya St., 18A), the Central City Library named after Lenin (Sovetskaya St., 16), and other municipal libraries in Nizhny Novgorod. The department of culture emphasized that free book exchange is not a mandatory condition for the operation of libraries: points are created as opportunities and demand arise from readers. "The plans of the Centralized Library System of the Avtozavodsky District include opening points at the Center for Business and Legal Information on Kirova Ave., 6; at the V.V. Mayakovsky Library on Komsomolskaya St., 2, as well as in the 'Book Park' on Molodezhny Ave., 44b. The Centralized Library System of the Nizhny Novgorod District plans to organize book exchange points at the Neighboring Center 'Together' (Donetskaya St., 5) and at the K.A. Timiryazev Library (Yablonevaya St., 6)," the message states. Additionally, "hotels for books" operate on the territory of the "Switzerland" park, points at the suburban train station, in the "Burevestnik" cinema, at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, and in the "TSUM" shopping center.
