Almost a quarter of guests arrived for business and professional reasons, while 73% came for personal purposes. Among personal trips, the most common were vacations and leisure (1.1 million people), followed by professional training (80.3 thousand), medical and wellness procedures (60.7 thousand), pilgrimages (40.5 thousand), and other purposes (146.7 thousand). In total, the volume of overnight stays reached 6.0 million, which is 0.7% more than the previous year. Foreign guests made up a small share—41.8 thousand people, while Russians accounted for 97.8% of all accommodated guests. Customer service in the region in 2025 was handled by over 9 thousand people, an increase in staff by 8%. Experts note that the availability and diversity of accommodation options, as well as the level of service and customer orientation of the staff, remain key factors in choosing a place to stay and immediately affect the tourist attractiveness of the region.
