      On June 18, 2026, at 07:30, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" - Polina Zubova. The construction of the cable car across the Oka River continues in Nizhny Novgorod. At the same time, work is in full swing at all three stations, as reported by the NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" editorial team.

      The construction site of the third station on Gagarin Avenue near the "Okeanis" shopping center has noticeably changed. While only preparatory activities were taking place at that time, specialists are now working on the foundation of the station. The area is now completely fenced off, making it harder to observe the process. However, there is currently a section of the fence that is open, marked by warning tape.

      As reported by JSC "UrbanTech Cable Cars," in addition to the foundation work, the installation of the tower crane is nearing completion, and the terrain is being leveled to organize access to the installation site of the support in the slope area near "Okeanis."

      Meanwhile, at the "Zarechnaya" station on Lenin Avenue, builders are already finishing the foundation for the support and actively constructing the station building itself. At the intermediate stop "Tikhaya Gavan" on Bauman Street, earthworks are underway, and the relocation of engineering networks from the construction zone is nearing completion.

      At the same time, specialists are busy installing test piles for the foundations of the supports in the riverbank part of the city. Tests have already confirmed their load-bearing capacity. Work is actively being carried out on pouring monolithic foundations along Zarechny Boulevard, as well as preparing for the installation of embedded parts for mounting the supports.

      Transformer substations for power supply have already been installed at the future stations "Tikhaya Gavan" and "Gagarin Avenue."

      Part of the support structures and steel cable for the line has been delivered to Nizhny Novgorod. All equipment is stored in a specially equipped warehouse and awaits the start of installation work in full safety. The construction of the cable car is proceeding in accordance with the project documentation and the approved schedule.

      Recall that the construction of the crossing started in August 2025. The main work is planned to be completed by the end of 2026, with the launch scheduled for 2027. Investments in the project are estimated at 5.2 billion rubles. The length of the line will be 3,340 meters, and the daily passenger flow is expected to exceed 10,000 people, with a maximum capacity of up to 30,500 passengers.
