The defense also claimed they could ensure the appearance of the second defendant in the case, Eduard Shamiyev, who had previously fled and is wanted. However, after the hearing was postponed, neither Rybakov nor Shamiyev nor their lawyers appeared in court again. According to relatives, the defendant was not found at his residence or in medical institutions. Recall that the story began in December 2024 in Shakhunya when members of a local gang attacked the Saidov brothers with knives in a café. Ali Saidov died on the spot, while his brother Ruslan survived. The suspects were not detained for a long time, and the relatives had to search for the murder weapons themselves in the snowdrifts and hand them over to the police. The brothers' father, former municipal deputy Minkail Saidov, sought justice for a year and a half. In March 2026, during the trial, he was shot dead in his own home. Saidov's daughter-in-law linked his murder to the death of her husband, Ali. After the ex-deputy's death, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, took control of the case. A repeatedly convicted entrepreneur, Gennady Chistyakov, was detained on suspicion of murdering Minkail, who, as the investigation established, had connections with the local police and was involved in a bribery case against the Economic Security Department employees. His involvement in the shooting was confirmed through expert examinations and witness testimonies. The investigation continues. Kirill Rybakov is now wanted at the federal level.
