The House of People's Unity and the passport and visa service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs signed a cooperation agreement.

      On June 17, 2026, at 17:14, the Society on June 17, the House of National Unity and the branch of the State Unitary Enterprise "Passport and Visa Service" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region signed a cooperation agreement. The signatures under the document regulating the interaction of the organizations were put by the head of the House of National Unity, Sergey Fedorov, and the director of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the State Unitary Enterprise PVS, Dmitry Nikitin. The agreement was concluded with the aim of promoting interethnic harmony in society and preventing the spread of extremist and nationalist ideas.

      "Interethnic and interfaith interaction is one of the key areas of activity of the House of National Unity. We clearly understand the threat posed by manifestations of extremism and xenophobia. They, like insidious viruses, destroy the health of society. Therefore, by combining the resources and expertise of our organization and the passport and visa service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, we are taking another step towards harmonizing relations between representatives of different nationalities and, in general, strengthening socio-political stability in our multinational Nizhny Novgorod region," noted Sergey Fedorov.

      Within the framework of the agreement, the organizations will intensify joint informational and educational work with foreign citizens and representatives of various nationalities living in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Specialists from the House of National Unity and the passport and visa service, teachers from Nizhny Novgorod universities, and experts from the regional branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia will be involved in conducting training seminars, workshops, scientific and practical conferences, and other events.

      "The signing of the agreement is a step towards a new level of intercultural dialogue, without which peaceful coexistence and fruitful interaction between representatives of different peoples and nationalities is impossible. Foreigners who come to our region to study or work must know and comply with our laws, understand traditions, and accept existing rules. I am confident that together with the House of National Unity, we will be able to increase the awareness and adaptability of our guests and new compatriots to the living conditions and accepted norms of behavior," emphasized Dmitry Nikitin.
