A former accountant has been convicted of embezzling company funds in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 16, 2026, at 14:56, Incidents: The court issued a verdict against a former accountant of one of the organizations in Nizhny Novgorod. The woman was found guilty of fraud committed using her official position on a large scale, the regional Investigative Committee reported.

      It was established that the woman worked as an accountant in the treasury department. Having access to the organization's bank accounts and the electronic digital signature of the director, she abused her official position.

      According to the investigation, the accused prepared the necessary documents and transferred funds from the legal entity to her personal account. The total amount stolen exceeded 370,000 rubles.

      The court sentenced her to three years of conditional imprisonment with a probation period of three years.
