Up to 150 thousand visits per year are expected at the new running center on the Rowing Canal.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, a project is being implemented to create a year-round free running center. Its construction is being carried out in collaboration with the All-Russian Athletics Federation on the territory of the Rowing Canal near the sports and entertainment center "Goradrom," reports IA "Vremya N" citing the regional Ministry of Sports.

      The project provides for the creation of infrastructure for both amateur runners and professional athletes. The center will include men's and women's changing rooms, each designed for 32 lockers, shower facilities, storage rooms, a multipurpose hall for training and lectures, as well as an area for training with a coach.

      Next to the center, there will be running tracks with a special rubberized surface, a workout area, and a space for relaxation. It is expected that there will be up to 150,000 visits per year.
