The best transport security inspector was chosen in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
On June 15, 2026, at 13:40, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the regional stage of the All-Russian professional skills competition "Best in Profession" was held in the nomination "Transport Security Inspector." The competitions took place at the sites of MP "Nizhny Novgorod Metro" (theoretical module) and the "Kirovskaya" metro station (practical modules).
The competitors demonstrated their skills in theoretical and practical tests. Participants competed in the mastery of identifying and recognizing prohibited items for transport, showcased their skills in using baggage screening equipment, stationary and handheld metal detectors. All tasks were closely aligned with real working situations that transport security inspectors face daily.
"The 'Best in Profession' competition not only helps identify the strongest specialists but also raises the prestige of working professions. Transport security inspectors are responsible for the safety of thousands of people every day, so their work requires high concentration, responsibility, and professional training. Such competitions allow for the exchange of experience, improvement of skills, and demonstrate to young people the opportunities for professional development in this field," noted Igor Pantyukhin, Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The winner of the regional stage was Darina Levchenkova (MP "Nizhny Novgorod Metro," with 12 years of professional experience). Second place went to Anna Zhikhareva (MP "Nizhny Novgorod Metro," with over 5 years of experience). Third place was awarded to Evgenia Bulganova (MP "Nizhny Novgorod Metro," with over 4 years of experience).
"The profession of a transport security inspector is one of the key roles in ensuring the safety of passengers and transport infrastructure objects. These specialists solve a primary task every day: to prevent the transport of prohibited items and timely identify potential threats. An inspector must be attentive, stress-resistant, possess impeccable knowledge of the regulatory framework, and be able to use various modern equipment. The competition tests are designed to fully assess these qualities," said Elena Vidyaeva, acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod Human Resources Center "Work of Russia."
From the organizers of the regional stage, in recognition of professional achievements, all participants were presented with commemorative gifts, and the winners and prizewinners were additionally awarded diplomas. The winner of the regional stage will represent the Nizhny Novgorod region at the all-Russian final, which will take place in Moscow in October.
