The reconstruction of the Dynamo swimming pool building will be completed in the third quarter of 2026.

      The updated building of the former "Dynamo" swimming pool in Nizhny Novgorod is planned to be put into operation in the third quarter of 2026. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the regional ministry.

      The "Dynamo" pool was built in 1936. Since the 1990s, the building has been in a dilapidated state. A contract for its restoration was signed in the summer of 2024. 137 million rubles have been allocated for the work. After the reconstruction is completed, the updated building is planned to house a fitness center and sauna, a boxing hall with a ring, an aerial yoga studio, as well as a space for group training sessions. The complex will be named "City of Gorky."

      The customer for the reconstruction is KP "Regnedvizhimost." A representative of the organization, Andrey Gogolev, previously admitted that the project is extremely complex, as it has been in a deplorable state for a long time. Essentially, only the walls of the old building have survived.

      It was planned that the launch of the updated facility would take place in April-May. However, this did not happen.
