The court sentenced the former head of the Nizhny Novgorod GUMMID to 5 years in prison.

On June 15, 2026, at 15:23, the Nizhny Novgorod District Court issued a verdict against the former director of the Main Department for the Construction and Repair of the Metro, Bridges, and Road Networks, Andrey Levdikov. He was found guilty of receiving bribes and fraud.

According to "Ъ-Privolzhye," the former official was sentenced to five years in a strict regime colony. Additionally, the court fined him 20 million rubles and prohibited him from holding certain positions for five years.

The investigation established that in 2024-2025, Levdikov assisted commercial companies in participating in tenders for the construction and repair of roads in Nizhny Novgorod. Furthermore, according to law enforcement, he facilitated the conclusion of municipal contracts with them. As a reward for such assistance, he had his apartment repaired. The investigators estimated the cost of the work at approximately 11.5 million rubles.

Another episode is related to receiving 2.5 million rubles from the deputy director of JSC "DSK Avtoban." According to the investigation, the money was allegedly transferred for further delivery to an official to expedite the examination of changes in the project for the construction of a bypass of Gagarin Avenue in Nizhny Novgorod. However, according to law enforcement, Levdikov actually disposed of the received funds at his discretion.

It was previously reported that the accused admitted guilt in receiving bribes and fraud, and also entered into a pre-trial agreement with the prosecutor's office. In this regard, the criminal case was considered by the court in a special procedure.

The state prosecution requested that the former official be sentenced to eight years in a strict regime colony, a fine of 15 million rubles, and a five-year ban on holding certain positions. The defense, in turn, insisted on a more lenient punishment.

Ultimately, the court sentenced Andrey Levdikov to five years in a strict regime colony, a fine of 20 million rubles, and a five-year ban on holding certain positions.

Recall that on June 9, the Nizhny Novgorod District Court fined former Deputy Mayor Sergey Egorov 4,500,000 rubles for bribery. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
